Perfecta Systems, Inc. has been developing accounting software for the pari-mutuel industry for over 20 years. We have an intimate knowledge of virtually all aspects of horse and greyhound track operations and accounting functions.

Perfecta Systems was founded on the belief that “there must be a better way”. This statement resulted from years of experience working with off-the-shelf software that only provided about 80 percent of our critical accounting data.

Robert BardenThis was the mid 80’s, and I was the controller in a multi-million dollar wholesale distribution/retail operation. My earlier experience as a software developer provided the insight and knowledge to recognize that the only better way was to develop custom software to fill the gaps in our present accounting systems.

I was quite familiar with the frustrations of dealing with software packages that crash for no apparent reason, or that require an almost secret combination of key strokes and processes to produce the desired result. Capturing the correct data is only half the battle for an accounting system; the user must also be able to depend on the software to provide information that is timely, accurate, and relevant.

My combined experience in accounting and software development along with the insight of knowing that there is a better way, eventually led to the formation of Perfecta Systems. Our mission from the very beginning has been to provide customized accounting solutions with software that works.

The most important factor in custom accounting software is the customer. We've found that no two are alike. Listening to our customers has always been a guiding principle. We recognize this to be the most effective way to get to know our customers and their industry. We pay attention to the feedback from our end-users to continually improve our software.

Our primary objective is to develop quality software that satisfies the accounting needs of the industry, and tailor the system to meet individual customer requirements. The pari-mutuel industry of horse and greyhound racing has been our primary focus since the late 80's. Our commitment to this industry has evolved from an intimate knowledge of the operations of our local race track customers, to our attendance and participation in various industry conferences and steering committees. This combined experience provides us with the insight to not only meet our customers’ current needs, but to anticipate their future ones.
